Amway’s Britain’s Top Real Role Model 2013 – Nomination Terms and Conditions
These are the terms and conditions for nominations for Amway’s Britain’s Top Real Role Model 2013 (
“BTRRM”
) competition (the
“COMPETITION”
). The separate Voting Terms and Conditions apply to those Voting in the Competition.
THE PROMOTER
1. The promoter and administrator of BTRRM is Amway UK Limited (Amway, “we” or “us”) whose place of business is at St Anne’s House, Caldecotte Lake Drive, Caldecotte Business Park, Caldecotte, Milton Keynes, MK7 8JU and who operates the website: britainstoprealrolemodel.co.uk (the “WEBSITE” ).
THE NOMINATORS
2. Members of the UK public, Amway Business Owners in the UK and/or Amway’s UK employees ( each a “NOMINATOR” ) may nominate an individual ( the “NOMINEE” ) for the BTRRM Competition run by Amway ( the “NOMINATIONS” ). The Nominations process opens at 9am on 20th August , 2013 . The Nominations may be submitted via the Website using the Application Form. The Website is free to access and the Nominations are free to submit on the Website, subject to any costs that you may be charged by your internet provider.
3. By making a Nomination to BTRRM, each Nominator agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions (the “Ts and Cs”).
NOMINEES AND THE BTRRM CRITERIA
4. The Nominator must fully and correctly complete the Application Form for the BTRRM providing all of the information that is required. All Nominations will undergo a verification process before being confirmed by Amway as Nominees for participation in the BTRRM. It is possible that a Nomination will not proceed to Nominee status, including but not limited to, where the individual nominated fails to meet the BTRRM criteria ( the “NOMINATION CRITERIA” ) which is as follows:
Nomination Criteria
• All Nominations are to be made in accordance with paragraph 2 of these Ts and Cs.
• The qualification process requires Nominees to be Nominated via the Website or by video submission. Video submissions must follow the guidelines set out on the website.
• A Nominator may nominate themselves as a Nominee.
• All Nominees must be a UK resident and over the age of 18.
• A Nominator may nominate more than one Nominee.
• To vote for a Nominee, it is necessary to registered on the Website.
• Each Registered Voter can only register one vote against a Nominee although they may vote for more than one Nominee.
• Amway Business Owners are not permitted to Nominate anyone who has an affiliation to Amway, or the Amway Business Opportunity. Amway Business Owners are not permitted to enter immediate family members into the competition.
• Anyone directly related to the Panel (as defined below) are not able to Nominate.
• The following process must be followed to make a Nomination:
o Register:
Fill in the Registration Form – This form will need to include your Name, Address, Email address and Mobile number. You will also need to create a Password and confirm your agreement to these Ts and Cs by ticking the box named ‘By ticking this box, you agree to these terms and conditions.”.
o Nominate:
Fill in the Nomination Form – This form will need to include your Name, Address, Email address, Mobile number, Reason for Nomination, and Your Relationship to the Nominee. You will also be given the opportunity to Upload a picture of the Nominee (recommended but optional).
• Each Nominator will be required to provide evidence of the Nominee’s permission to be nominated. The Nominator will be required to provide an email address and telephone number where the Nominee can be contacted. We will inform the Nominee that you have nominated her. Nominees will be required to complete a Nominee Agreement Form once we verify them. This Nominee Agreement Form will be available on the Website.
•
ALL NOMINATION FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED AND/OR RECEIVED BY AMWAY BY 5PM ON (16th OCTOBER) (the “CLOSING DATE”).
• Any Nomination Forms received after the Closing Date will not be considered.
THE PROCESS FOR DECIDING BRITAIN’S TOP REAL ROLE MODEL
5. Stage One: Consideration of Nomination Forms and Public Vote
a) Once the Closing Date has passed, Amway will commence the consideration process and will arrange for a moderator to review all Nomination Forms received prior to the Closing Date and which comply with the Nomination Criteria.
b) Once approved by the moderator, Nominees will be published on the Website and public voting may then commence. The public will be able to vote for each of the Nominees on the Website ( the “PUBLIC VOTE” ). The Public Vote shall end on 12 NOON on 18th October , 2013 ( “VOTING END DATE” ).
6. Stage Two: Panel Judging
a) A panel nominated by Amway (the “PANEL” ) will evaluate Nominees on the basis of the following criteria ( the “PANEL VOTING CRITERIA” ):
The winning candidate will display the following:
• Overall Business/ Entrepreneurship Skills, the winner will exemplify entrepreneurial skills and will have the ability to inspire others through their vision
• Any relative Achievements to Date in running a Business
• Attitude
• Ability to be an Inspiring Role Model
• An advocator of change and creativity
• Passion and determination
• Ambition and drive
• Belief in own abilities and ideas
• Innovative/ Inventive
• Inner drive to succeed
• Highly motivated
b) The Panel will select the successful Nominee on the basis of this Criteria (the “WINNER”) and will announce the Winner on the Website on 18th November, 2013.
c) The decision of the Panel shall be final
d) Please note that, regretfully, Amway will not be able to return any photographs submitted by Nominators for the purposes of this Competition.
THE PRIZE FOR BRITAIN’S TOP REAL ROLE MODEL
8. Amway will pay out a sum of £5,000 to the Winner which needs to be spent by the Winner into his/her project as described in the Criteria Terms and Conditions. The winner must invest the funds in a business enterprise project between November 2013 – August 2014. The Winner may also receive nationwide recognition of the award within the UK as may be considered appropriate by Amway.
GENERAL TERMS
9. By making a nomination each Nominator:
a) represents that he/she is capable of, and entitled to accept these Ts and Cs. For the avoidance of doubt, any person making a Nomination must be over 18 years of age. The eligibility of any Nominator is at the sole discretion of Amway;
b) warrants that the Nominee has agreed to be nominated and take part in the Competition.
10. Amway reserves full control of the BTRRM Competition and Amway’s decisions shall be final and Amway shall not enter into any correspondence concerning the BTRRM. Amway reserves the right to remove and/or moderate any and all material published on the Website or otherwise published in any media and remove or reject any Nominee, but Amway has no obligation so to do.
11. All rights (including without limitation, trade marks, copyright and database rights) in or relating to Britain’s Top Real Role Model and the Website are owned or controlled by or licensed to Amway, or otherwise used by Amway as permitted by applicable law.
12. Amway does not guarantee the quality or accuracy of any Nominations, or other material submitted by Nominators. Amway does not guarantee that any photographs and/or any other material submitted by Nominators or Nominees to accompany recommendations accurately represent the Nominees.
13. Any views, opinions or instructions contained within any nomination does not represent the views or opinions of Amway. Amway does not endorse anything submitted by a Nominator or Nominee that is contained on the Website or in any materials published in connection with BTRRM.
14. Amway may at any time alter or modify these Ts and Cs and/or the BTRRM including the ability to alter or cancel the BTRRM and Amway shall not be liable for any losses suffered in connection with such actions.
15. Amway’s BTRRM Competition and these Ts and Cs are governed by and construed and performed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, whose courts shall be the courts of exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
